Complexity Science, formerly called Chaos Theory

Pseudo-science?

"I think the next century will be the century of complexity."
-Stephen Hawking January 2000

A new scientific discipline has come of age in the last
few years. It's a revolution in scientific thought that rivals
any of the great discoveries. And yet few know much
about it. I doubt if anyone in these three ngs even
knows what the 'integral', so to speak, is of
complexity science. Let alone are comfortable
with the core concepts. If that's the case, you're
still living in the scientific Dark Ages.

Complexity science is not just some new equations
or interesting concepts. It's an entirely different
scientific method which completely alters our
view of the universe and our place in it.

To emphasize just how quick and far this new idea
has spread, below is a list of govt agencies and
various universities that have begun complexity
programs in some form in the last five, or at most, ten
years according to this survey

The Use of Complexity Science

"In 2002, the U. S. Department of Education asked the Washington
Center for Complexity and Public Policy to look at how complexity
science is being used -throughout the federal government, in
private foundations, universities, and in independent education
and research centers-"

snip a bunch of stuff...

Most of my life has been about complicating the simple. The older I get the
more I am leaning towards simplifying and ordering the chaos around me,
"Getting rid of the hooks", as an old philosopher once said a long time ago.
BTW, you might try posting to sci.fractals. Will E.

I don't think it's that simple.

You should try it, it's less painful than you hallucinate.

Are you the guy who pulled that thorn out of my paw? Or did I just
hallucinate about that?

It'll simply be complex.
