Another piece of space history gone (SLC 36 mobile launch towers - no longer
used) -- missions included:
Surveyor, Mariner, Pioneer and Intelsat, to the moon, Venus, Mars and
Jupiter.
Built in 1961 for the Atlas Centaur missile program,
I see that they transferred this facility (36A and 36B) to the USAF in 1989.
