In 'Mercury 13' there was some discussion of one male argument in the 1960s
against women astronauts
that they would -- "as in other professions" -- tend to stay at the career
less long than male astronauts
based on family pressures. It was a mean spirited, delusional period,
true... but...
[I don't know any woman astronaut who left flight status for family
reasons -- except perhaps
Anna Fisher --... AND
[It is hard to really measure 'end dates' of flight status of many
astronauts..
But under these constraints, and not counting those astronauts who left
flight status for
medical reasons, can anyone prove or disprove the conjecture that there was
NO detectable
difference in astronaut flight career duration for the male and female
personnel?
It might take some lengthy computations and laborous tallying ... maybe we
can get started and folks can
announce selections of specific classes.. and pool our results...
no hurry on this.

Ah, James - are you *trying* to descend into kookdom? Or is this just sort
of, umm...happening on its own? |
